It
is to Auguste Pralus that we are indebted for the creation
and delights of the critically acclaimed Praluline. Born
in 1920, in Mars (Loire, France), this remarkable countryman
was awarded the coveted French accolade of Meilleur Ouvrier
de France, in 1955. Consequently, becoming President of
the Syndicat des Pâtissiers (French Patisserie Union);
a member of l’Académie Culinaire de France
(French Culinary Academy); a Chevalier of Arts, Science
and Letters; and finally Chevalier of l’Ordre du
Mérite National (National Order of Merit). The innovative
and reputed Praluline has been providing tasty and festive
treats for, soon to be celebrated, 50 years - making it
a true local tradition.
