It is to Auguste Pralus that we are indebted for the creation and delights of the critically acclaimed Praluline. Born in 1920, in Mars (Loire, France), this remarkable countryman was awarded the coveted French accolade of Meilleur Ouvrier de France, in 1955. Consequently, becoming President of the Syndicat des Pâtissiers (French Patisserie Union); a member of l’Académie Culinaire de France (French Culinary Academy); a Chevalier of Arts, Science and Letters; and finally Chevalier of l’Ordre du Mérite National (National Order of Merit). The innovative and reputed Praluline has been providing tasty and festive treats for, soon to be celebrated, 50 years - making it a true local tradition.
